Dance physio meets Performance Medicine
One of the silver linings of the pandemic has been connecting with therapists and like-minded people all over the world. Not being able to travel has given me the kick-in-the-butt I needed to connect with others and share my values and expertise with the world. I have also been working on my Imposter Syndrome and am believing I have something valuable to add to the collective conversation!
Two years ago, I probably would have turned down an invitation to participate in a podcast. Having my voice recorded and shared on the internet forever!? That would have sounded like a nightmare! Although I am still quite nervous about the idea of putting my thoughts out there in the world, I have become more comfortable chatting with amazing humans from around the world!
We were so excited to be asked to join host Vince for an episode of the PMED Podcast. It was so great to catch up with him and discuss dance medicine, rehabilitation practices in the dance community, and the need to consider early sports specialization in the dance world. Give it a listen, see if you can hear my nerves, and let me know below what you think!
The PMED Podcast brings you inside performance medicine with Cirque du Soleil therapists. They have awesome interviews with artists and therapists so go check out all their episodes on Spotify or on Apple Podcasts.
